A little about me,
DANCE
I began as a dancer at age 10, by 16 I was teaching classes, and by 17 I was a professional dancer. I received dance scholarships, and danced with top groups, until I became artistic director of my own award winning dance company. I completed a degree in dance while still working as a professional dancer, choreographer, and producer, and oh yeah, and a single mother.
PILATES & GYROTONIC
Pilates happened by stumbling upon a book and a few small studios in Los Angeles in the 80’s. It was relatively unknown to the masses, information was scarce, and only a few studios existed at the time.
By 1989, my teacher came to this country, and he danced for my company. I took up a 2 year apprenticeship with him, and achieved an 'old school personal certification'.
My first clients were severe neck and back pain clients as well as professional volleyball players and surfers.
Since then I have started programs for gyms, yoga studios, country clubs and physical therapy offices.
•Created a successful Pilates program for a physical therapy clinic that treated clients out of a gym.
•Designed the Pilates programs for the Men’s Pro Am Surf Team and the Women’s Roxy Pro Surf Team for Quiksilver.
•Redesigned a struggling Pilates Studio in Los Angeles and created a unique group class that had a waiting list and a full celebrity clientele.
•Expanded the Gyrotonic program at one of the most prestigious Country Clubs in Indian Wells.
•Consulted on the original design of The Vintage Country club Pilates Studio, and expansion into their Pilates and Gyrotonic programs.
•Created Pilates programs for Lakeshore Towers Gym (now 24hr Fitness, Aikos Gym, Girls Gym, Balboa Bay Club, and Yoga Works.
•Created the first barre classes in OC as well as hybrid Pilates Gyrotonic and dance conditioning classes.
•Created the first full service Pilates, Gyrotonic, Barre, Dance Conditioning studio in OC.
•Took my Aline class to an already successful yoga studio and my classes sold out in 1 month.
All the while running my own studio, teacher education, and mentorship programs.
Autodidactic by nature, I am constantly studying anatomy, the natural health field, cleansing, nutrition, and wellness. I also continue my education in these fields where necessary.
I have developed sound and proven programs to help people with chronic pain and debilitating issues.
Having suffered for years with a degenerative illness that included joint pain, limited mobility, fibromyalgia, and systemic inflammation, I healed myself.
Not only have I helped myself, my programs have helped thousands of clients achieve their fitness and mobility goals and get out of pain.
